Review:
I discovered this book thanks to the Owlcrate subscription box. I read this with a readalong hosted by them. It was really fun. This book was so dark and haunting. I can’t explain how many times I tried to guess things and was disappointed but relieved to find out I was wrong. There’s something that happened here that gives me a mistrust for certain people in all future books I read. Not just this book, but another book I read as well. I’m not going to say what it is or the other book it is. I don’t want to give any spoilers. Intentional or otherwise. I can say that I find the Owlcrate version of this book more appealing than the original. The original does have an appeal though. I really wish that this would have been turned into a series. I’ll probably reread this book in the future.
