Weekly Wrap Up: 4/24/21

Welcome to Weekly Wrap Up. I will discuss how my week has gone. I will include any pictures I’ve taken for the week and my progress in reading. It won’t be all about books. Just my week in general. I will also highlight my five favorite blogs I’ve read during the week.

This has been a very busy week. I’ve read a lot. I had something major happened that has completely changed everything for me. For the better. Everything will be okay. In fact, I’m pretty sure that everything is going to look up from here!

I’m still reading up a storm but it’s cooled down a bit. I’m still reading every moment I can. Pretty soon, I’ll be watching some television as well. I need to start making a list of television shows I want to watch here soon. I’m also open for suggestion.

This has been a really busy week for me. I have absorbed myself into getting things caught up that I was behind on. I’ve also been absorbed into books. I was averaging about a book a day for a few days. Sadly, I haven’t really had a lot of time to read other blogs this week so I don’t have any to showcase, but I will make up for it next week. I strongly encourage you all to follow the blogs that I showcase. They are so amazing.

I’ve been so absorbed in books lately, I’ve also not really paid much attention to TikTok or games lately either. I’ll try to balance out better. Work has still been going amazing! I’m so glad that I was given a chance to work for the company I’m with. It’s been an amazing job so far and I look forward to many years of working for them.

This has been a really great week. My reading rut is gone. I went from not finishing any books to getting five finished in a few weeks. It really does make me feel good. I was beginning to wonder if I was ever going to get out of the funk that I was in.

I’m also finally able to come up with a schedule that fully works for me. I spent a good part of the week catching up on some things I’m behind on. It’s a great feeling to not feel bogged down on things you’re behind on. I can’t tell you how relieved I feel.

Looking forward to another great week!

Weekly Reading and Blog Plans: 2/22/21

The past two weeks have been really insane for me. I feel like I have barely had time to breathe. I’ve had a bunch of projects going on that I was very late for over half of them. It was stressful. I also officially started my job! I’m not saying I had a bad few weeks. They have just been really jam packed and busy for me.

I’m way behind on reading. I will get caught up. I’m just very disappointed with the fact that I haven’t even finished a fraction of my reading list this month. It feels like every time I get time to read, something comes up. I’m also really bad about shutting down when my routine changes. That’s why I try my best to set up a super strict schedule so I don’t think about the change too much.

Currently Reading:

Faith of the Fallen by Terry Goodkind: I’m way behind on this. I can’t even remember the last time I actually read it. I will get caught up soon. I have to. I’m pretty sure we are almost done with it.
Veil of Secrecy by RM Alexander: We haven’t really made much progress on this book lately. I’ve been reading this with my girlfriend. Well, we have been listening to it together. It’s just been awhile since we picked it up.
Craving Camden by Michelle Dare: This is a book in a series I absolutely love. All of the books are stand alone books, but they are connected in a series because they take place in the same world. I have absolutely loved them all! I’m about half to three quarters of the way through this one. I’m excited to finish it!

What I Intend To Start:

Boom by Sabrina Stark
Bang by Sabrina Stark
Blitz by Sabrina Stark
Drawn Blue Lines by Cora Kenborn
Selected by Evelyn Lederman
Sivoa Sunrise by H. Gorlitz Scott
Docia Departed by Angela Kulig
Blood Laws by Lexi C. Foss
Shattered by AK Macbride

If I finish all of these (long shot), I plan to go back and read the ones I missed for this month.

Weekly Reading and Blog Plans: 2/8/21

I find it amazing and shocking that we are going into week two of February! It seems like it’s just passing us by! Nine more days and I start my job! I’m excited and very nervous! I have also kind of started another job as well. It’s the beginning of something that may blossom if I play my cards right. I attempted to do it before but I got overwhelmed quickly. Quite frankly, I don’t feel I really got the support I needed either, but that’s for another day. Or to be buried really. I really do hope it becomes a thing. It might be the launch of my career.

This week is the monthly readathon for AYearAThon. The theme for this month is New To Me Authors. I got very lucky with this one. Many books from a month long readathon I’m attending are books from authors that I’ve wanted to read for a very long time. So it all works out! I’m very excited! I really should get caught up on that readathon group while it’s fresh on my mind.

Currently Reading:

Northern Echoes by Melody Ash: I’m not as far into this book as I would like to be, but I really am enjoying it still. I just got overly cocky with time last week and didn’t read as much as I could.
Faith of the Fallen by Terry Goodkind: We’ve been chipping away at this book for a week now. I’m really enjoying it very much. There’s a new character in the story now. I’m not sure how I feel about her just yet. We shall see.
Ash and Stone by Rose Alexander: I really am enjoying this book so much. I feel like if I put the effort into it that it deserves that I would have finished it within the same day I started. It’s really just so amazing! I can’t even begin to explain.
Veil of Secrecy by RM Alexander: I’ve been listening to this in audio with my girlfriend. I’ve read the series before and listened to it before. I’m introducing her into the world. I hope she enjoys it and loves it as much as I do. We listen to a chapter or two every other night or so.

What I Intend To Start:

Sunken Echoes by Melody Ash
Into the Pink by MK Mancos
Slated by Christina Lanier
Hollow’s End by MA Morea
Possession by Kate Lowe
Blurred Red Lines by Cora Kenborn
Faded Gray Lines by Cora Kenborn
Drums by September North
Winter’s Rise by Breezy Jones
Boy of the Week by Emily Camp

Weekly Reading and Blog Plans: 2/1/21

I’m looking forward to an interesting week this week! It’s the first week of February! I’m so shocked and yet not that it’s already February of 2021! Starting the week with a readathon. The theme for the readathon is Colour. Basically we read books with a colour in the title. There’s also a full month event going on that I’m participating in as well. I’m so excited. This month is going to be jam packed full of things. Especially starting work!

I feel like I’m finally getting everything together. I feel more organized and on top of things now. I feel like I’m finally going to be able to move forward and not feel like I’m overwhelmed. I’m so blessed. It’s really an amazing feeling. I can’t even begin to explain it.

Currently Reading:

Northern Echoes by Melody Ash: This is such a cute time traveling book. I’m so glad that I took the time to read it. The new covers are absolutely gorgeous as well!
My Life as a Rock Album by LJ Evans: I really love this series! This is the third book in the series. I’m just so smitten. I can’t even tell you how beautiful all these stories are.
Throne of Lies by Sara Secora: I’m not really all that far into the book. I’ve only read the first chapter. I already love the main character. She’s just so spunky and full of sass!

Weekly Reading And Blog Plans: 1/25/21

It’s been a remarkable and stressful year so far. We’re twenty-five days into the year. I’ve lost a job. Luckily, I was able to secure another job in less than a week. I don’t start until February 17th. I plan to use that time to get fully caught up and get into a very great routine that will work fully for me. I am so blessed. I got the job I’ve been wanting since 2018.

So far, I’ve read seven books this year. I’ve been slowly coming out of my rut. I feel like I’m finally fully out of it. Which brings me a lot of hope! With some luck, I will have a lot more to share in the coming week or two. My goal is to have my back log of reviews and blogs posted by the end of Sunday. I can’t fully promise it, but I’m going to do everything in my power to make it happen. I’m feeling pretty confident.

Currently Reading:

Soul of the Fire by Terry Goodkind (Audiobook): Up to chapter 59 now. We will be done with the book by Sunday. I’m both relieved to be getting the book finished and nervous. Terry Goodkind definitely knows how to put a reader through the ringer. I can say that much.
The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde (Audiobook): I’ve put this book down once so that I could get an audiobook done before a blog tour. It would seem I need to do it again soon. I have really enjoyed it though. It’s very quirky and out of the norm. I’m glad that my friend gifted it to me.

What I Intend To Start:

Charlie by Siobhan Davis (Audiobook)
Jackson by Siobhan Davis (Audiobook)
My Life as a Country Album by LJ Evans (Audiobook)
My Life as a Pop Album by LJ Evans (Audiobook)
My Life as a Rock Album by LJ Evans (Audiobook)
My Life as a Mixtape Album by LJ Evans (Audiobook)
Into The Shadows by Jenn D. Young (Audiobook)
Out of The Shadows by Jenn D. Young (Audiobook)
Diamond City by Francesca Flores (Audiobook)
Shadow City by Francesca Flores (Ebook)
Throne of Lies by Sara Secora (Ebook)
Marvel’s Black Panther: Sins of the King Episode 1 by Ira Madison III (Ebook)
Cruel Intentions by Siobhan Davis (Ebook)
Twisted Betrayal by Siobhan Davis (Ebook)
Sweet Retribution by Siobhan Davis (Ebook)

I hope everybody has a fantastic week! I’m here if anybody wants to chat! I’ll also be hosting a readathon this week at The Introverted Readathoner! I’m pretty excited to be doing that. That’s why I have a pretty extensive TBR for the week. I’m also going to be hosting a Virtual Silent Book Club meeting on Thursday. A group of us get together and read silently for an hour several times a week. All are welcome!

Weekly Reading and Blog Plans: 1/4/21

This is the first Monday of the year. I can’t believe we are in 2021 already. It’s amazing how horrible 2020 was for everybody in general. Some people had it harder than others. They are forever in my thoughts. It’s also amazing how quickly some months passed by and now slowly others did. March seemed to last forever but I blinked and July to the rest of the year were basically gone. I have a few announcements this week, so I won’t write too much.

New Blog Schedule (All in EST):

10 AM: Promo Posts (If there are any scheduled for the day)
2 PM: Personal Blogs (There’s a different blog for every day of the week)
6 PM: Book Meme (A bookish meme that I am fond of)
10 PM: Non Bookish Memes (A meme I found that doesn’t always involve books that I think are fun.)

Mondays:

Readathon News: I’ll discuss the readathons going on during the week and ow I feel about them. I will also list my TBR for te readathon or each readathon. If none are scheduled or I’m not hosting my own, this blog will be skipped for the week.
Mailbox Mondays: I absolutely love book mail. It’s my favorite type of mail to get. I may not always post for this. It depends on if I get mail during the week or not.
Music Mondays: Originally, I was choosing a song and posting the video and lyrics for it. Obviously, I was crediting the source. I decided to switch it up. Lately, I’ve gotten into listening to playlists as I read on Spotify. Every Monday I will share a playlist that I’ve been listening to currently and my thoughts on the playlist and what book I was reading while I listened to it.

Tuesdays:

Writing Prompt: I will post a writing prompt that I’ve worked on at some point. I have a whole folder full of them.
Top Ten Tuesdays: This one is one of my favorites to do every week. They have a topic every week and we post about our top ten favorite books involving the topic.
FitReaders: From what I gather from this one, you do a recap of your exercise from the week before and discuss your goals for the upcoming week. It looks like you can also add if you’ve gained or lost weight as well. It seems like just the blog I need to light a fire under me!

Wednesday:

Weekly Colorist Projects: I’ll highlight four coloring projects I’ve worked on during the week before. This will be skipped if I hadn’t worked on coloring at all for the week. I’ve skipped this a lot lately. Hopefully I’ll get back into coloring more soon.
WWW Wednesdays: This right here is definitely my favorite meme to do every week. You discuss the books you’ve read, the books you’re reading, and the books you’ve recently finished. It’s one of the easiest and most time consuming to build. I love it!
Top 5 Wednesday: A weekly challenge for book bloggers, vloggers, and book lovers, hosted by Lainey and Sam. The goal is to choose their top 5 picks for the week’s given challenge. Find out more on the  Goodreads group page!

Thursdays:

Writing Prompt: I will post a writing prompt that I’ve worked on at some point. I have a whole folder full of them.
Thursday Quoteables: I’m recently getting into highlighting quotes more. I add them to my reviews and so on. So every week, I’ll pick a book and share about four quotes from it. On Holidays, I’ll try to do more themed quotes from multiple books. There will always be four quotes total.
Thankful Thursday: I was originally going to do a meme I found, but I just couldn’t find any excitement in doing so. Instead I want to do something different. I’m going to talk about the things I’m thankful for for the week. I’ll choose up to four things I’m thankful for every week. I’ll do this every week even if I only write one thing.

Fridays:

Weekly Game Chat: I’ll post my gaming progress for the week every week. This may not be posted some weeks if I didn’t do a lot of gaming. It really just depends on how packed my schedule is for that week.
The Friday 56: I can’t remember where I found this meme. I couldn’t find enough information to run on to credit them. I also made it my own and kind of ran with it. I really enjoy doing it. Go to page 56 or 56% into a book and write a sentence or a few sentences on that page and write your thoughts on it.
On This Day: I’ll be posting a few fun little things that happened on this day in history. I’ll also add my own commentary to the mix as well.

Saturdays:

Writing Prompt: I will post a writing prompt that I’ve worked on at some point. I have a whole folder full of them.
Saturday Stars: This is a very fun meme to do. You showcase a character from a book and tell the book or series they are from and why they are your star for the week.
Weekly Wrap Up: I will discuss how my week has gone. I will include any pictures I’ve taken for the week and my progress in reading. It won’t be all about books. Just my week in general.

Sundays:

Book Photo Sunday: This is where I share four Instagram photos I’ve taken during the week of books or promo posts. There are some weeks that I won’t have anything posted. I’ve had weeks I don’t take any photos and don’t have any promos that I’ve posted.
Sundays In Bed With: I’ll post about the book I plan on reading that day or one that I’m already reading for the day. I include a paragraph on my thoughts on the book I’m reading. Whether it be about the book itself or the part of the book I’m reading.
Cinema Sunday: This meme doesn’t look like it’s active anymore. I’d like to pick it back up as well. It doesn’t like there’s anywhere I can tag. I’m not intending to steal the idea from whoever created it. I just want to run with it. I think you talk about your favorites. What I plan to do is just talk about any television show or movie I’ve watched during the week instead. This may be skipped if I haven’t watched anything.

Currently Reading:

The Perfect 10 by Eric O’Keefe: (Physical Book) I just started this today. It seems really fun. The chapters are super short. I’m already three chapters in.
The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde: (Audiobook) This was gifted to me by a friend. She’s a really big fan of the series. I’m about ten chapters in. It’s a very quirky story so far. Definitely the type of book to keep you on your toes!
To Whatever End by Lindsey Frydman: (Ebook) This is my work book. It’s easier for me to read an ebook between calls than it is a physical book. Audiobook is easy too, but I prefer Ebook. I’m only one chapter in, but it seems like a really amazing book so far!
Soul of the Fire by Terry Goodkind: (Audiobook) This is a book series that I’ve been buddy reading with my mom. This is the fifth book. I’ve really been enjoying all of the books. We read two chapters a day. We are on chapter 21 too as well.

What I Intend To Start:

Havenhall Harbor by Albany Walker: This is one of the books I got during the Irish Christmas Exchange that my friends and I started this year. My friend is really exited for me to read this book. It’s making me very excited to read it!

Weekly Reading and Blog Plans: 12/28/20

The last time I posted for this particular blog was on December 7th. Three weeks ago. I can’t believe how quickly time has goes sometimes. I’ve been visiting somebody very important to me and I’ve had an amazing time. I’ll be going home soon. I haven’t read a lot, but I have gotten a lot done and a game plan for getting more done in the future. That’s what matters to me.

I hope everybody had a wonderful holiday. Whatever holiday you may celebrate. I got more gifts this year than I have since I turned eighteen. It truly humbled me. I was also able to do more this year than I have in a very long time. I love giving to those I care about. I also participated in card and gift exchanges for the first time this year. I really enjoyed doing it and I hope to do it again next year.

This year my group and I also somewhat started a tradition. We based it on the Iceland tradition of exchanging books on Christmas Eve and reading and eating chocolate all night. Somebody mistakenly called our thing the Irish Book Exchange, so if it becomes a thing that’s what we will name it. The Irish Book Exchange. I really enjoyed it.

Currently Reading:

Ladon’s Desire by Michelle Dare: I’m actually really close to being done with it. I listened to most of the book between calls last shift. It’s such a great book. To be honest, this entire series has been amazing. I need a really great reason to go back and read them all! For those of you who have Kindle Unlimited, they are all on there and well worth the read.

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong: I’m buddy reading this with my book bff. I have to be honest, I’m having a bit of a tough time with it. It’s a Romeo and Juliet retelling. Which is great. There are just things that have made me really squeamish. I can definitely say that this book is not for everybody.

People Like her by Ellery Lloyd: I’m sure people are really sick of hearing me talk about this book. I really enjoy it. I almost dont want to finish it. I’m about halfway through though. I have referenced this book in many other blogs so far.

What I Intend To Start:

Soul of the Fire by Terry Goodkind: I was actually supposed to have started this series on Sunday. It’s book five in the book series I’ve been buddy reading with my mother. I’m really doing great at keeping up! To be fair, I finished the last one way early.

Caste by Isabel Wilkerson: This is the last book I need to read for the Book of the Month challenge. I’m very excited to read it actually. I discovered recently that I have it in audiobook. So I’ll be switching back and fourth between my book and the audio.

Weekly Reading And Blog Plans: 12/7/20

This week is going to be really weird for me. I work two more shifts and then I’m off for five days. On Friday night, I’ll be going out of town. I can’t say much more than that. I will be gone for the rest of the year. I plan on continuing to blog during that time. I may have more to say on the subject at a later time.

I plan on posting some blogs that should have been posted during my down time. So you all may see some older blogs pop up out of nowhere. I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure this doesn’t happen again. One of the biggest things of mental health is self care. I need to start doing that. I also plan on getting caught up on reviews as well. So you’ll see those come up as well. I’m going to be trying a new format. We’ll see how that goes.

Currently reading:

Nothing. I have finished exactly two books since I last made a blog like this. I haven’t really been myself lately. I’ve been in a major reading slump. I think I’m slowly coming out of things now. We shall see.

What I intend to start:

Temple Of The Woods by Terry Goodkind: This is the next book in the Sword Of Truth series that my mom and I are reading together. I should have started this awhile ago. Here we are. I’ll get it read and caught up on it.

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong: This is a book of the month book. They are doing a challenge thing this year. There are three challenges. Read 12 books period. Read 5 books from 5 different genres. Read 3 debut novels. I did the 5 genres challenge. I need to read 4 more books. One of which is a debut novel.

Kingdom of Embers by Tricia Copeland: This will be the audio I start once I have caught up with Temple. I usually typically have an actual book and an audiobook. If I’m reading a paperback, I typically have an ebook to read for work because ebooks are easier to handle at work. Anway, unless I have an audio tour come up, this is my next audio read.
