This is the first Monday of the year. I can’t believe we are in 2021 already. It’s amazing how horrible 2020 was for everybody in general. Some people had it harder than others. They are forever in my thoughts. It’s also amazing how quickly some months passed by and now slowly others did. March seemed to last forever but I blinked and July to the rest of the year were basically gone. I have a few announcements this week, so I won’t write too much.
New Blog Schedule (All in EST):
10 AM: Promo Posts (If there are any scheduled for the day)
2 PM: Personal Blogs (There’s a different blog for every day of the week)
6 PM: Book Meme (A bookish meme that I am fond of)
10 PM: Non Bookish Memes (A meme I found that doesn’t always involve books that I think are fun.)
Mondays:
Readathon News: I’ll discuss the readathons going on during the week and ow I feel about them. I will also list my TBR for te readathon or each readathon. If none are scheduled or I’m not hosting my own, this blog will be skipped for the week.
Mailbox Mondays: I absolutely love book mail. It’s my favorite type of mail to get. I may not always post for this. It depends on if I get mail during the week or not.
Music Mondays: Originally, I was choosing a song and posting the video and lyrics for it. Obviously, I was crediting the source. I decided to switch it up. Lately, I’ve gotten into listening to playlists as I read on Spotify. Every Monday I will share a playlist that I’ve been listening to currently and my thoughts on the playlist and what book I was reading while I listened to it.
Tuesdays:
Writing Prompt: I will post a writing prompt that I’ve worked on at some point. I have a whole folder full of them.
Top Ten Tuesdays: This one is one of my favorites to do every week. They have a topic every week and we post about our top ten favorite books involving the topic.
FitReaders: From what I gather from this one, you do a recap of your exercise from the week before and discuss your goals for the upcoming week. It looks like you can also add if you’ve gained or lost weight as well. It seems like just the blog I need to light a fire under me!
Wednesday:
Weekly Colorist Projects: I’ll highlight four coloring projects I’ve worked on during the week before. This will be skipped if I hadn’t worked on coloring at all for the week. I’ve skipped this a lot lately. Hopefully I’ll get back into coloring more soon.
WWW Wednesdays: This right here is definitely my favorite meme to do every week. You discuss the books you’ve read, the books you’re reading, and the books you’ve recently finished. It’s one of the easiest and most time consuming to build. I love it!
Top 5 Wednesday: A weekly challenge for book bloggers, vloggers, and book lovers, hosted by Lainey and Sam. The goal is to choose their top 5 picks for the week’s given challenge. Find out more on the Goodreads group page!
Thursdays:
Writing Prompt: I will post a writing prompt that I’ve worked on at some point. I have a whole folder full of them.
Thursday Quoteables: I’m recently getting into highlighting quotes more. I add them to my reviews and so on. So every week, I’ll pick a book and share about four quotes from it. On Holidays, I’ll try to do more themed quotes from multiple books. There will always be four quotes total.
Thankful Thursday: I was originally going to do a meme I found, but I just couldn’t find any excitement in doing so. Instead I want to do something different. I’m going to talk about the things I’m thankful for for the week. I’ll choose up to four things I’m thankful for every week. I’ll do this every week even if I only write one thing.
Fridays:
Weekly Game Chat: I’ll post my gaming progress for the week every week. This may not be posted some weeks if I didn’t do a lot of gaming. It really just depends on how packed my schedule is for that week.
The Friday 56: I can’t remember where I found this meme. I couldn’t find enough information to run on to credit them. I also made it my own and kind of ran with it. I really enjoy doing it. Go to page 56 or 56% into a book and write a sentence or a few sentences on that page and write your thoughts on it.
On This Day: I’ll be posting a few fun little things that happened on this day in history. I’ll also add my own commentary to the mix as well.
Saturdays:
Writing Prompt: I will post a writing prompt that I’ve worked on at some point. I have a whole folder full of them.
Saturday Stars: This is a very fun meme to do. You showcase a character from a book and tell the book or series they are from and why they are your star for the week.
Weekly Wrap Up: I will discuss how my week has gone. I will include any pictures I’ve taken for the week and my progress in reading. It won’t be all about books. Just my week in general.
Sundays:
Book Photo Sunday: This is where I share four Instagram photos I’ve taken during the week of books or promo posts. There are some weeks that I won’t have anything posted. I’ve had weeks I don’t take any photos and don’t have any promos that I’ve posted.
Sundays In Bed With: I’ll post about the book I plan on reading that day or one that I’m already reading for the day. I include a paragraph on my thoughts on the book I’m reading. Whether it be about the book itself or the part of the book I’m reading.
Cinema Sunday: This meme doesn’t look like it’s active anymore. I’d like to pick it back up as well. It doesn’t like there’s anywhere I can tag. I’m not intending to steal the idea from whoever created it. I just want to run with it. I think you talk about your favorites. What I plan to do is just talk about any television show or movie I’ve watched during the week instead. This may be skipped if I haven’t watched anything.
Currently Reading:
The Perfect 10 by Eric O’Keefe: (Physical Book) I just started this today. It seems really fun. The chapters are super short. I’m already three chapters in.
The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde: (Audiobook) This was gifted to me by a friend. She’s a really big fan of the series. I’m about ten chapters in. It’s a very quirky story so far. Definitely the type of book to keep you on your toes!
To Whatever End by Lindsey Frydman: (Ebook) This is my work book. It’s easier for me to read an ebook between calls than it is a physical book. Audiobook is easy too, but I prefer Ebook. I’m only one chapter in, but it seems like a really amazing book so far!
Soul of the Fire by Terry Goodkind: (Audiobook) This is a book series that I’ve been buddy reading with my mom. This is the fifth book. I’ve really been enjoying all of the books. We read two chapters a day. We are on chapter 21 too as well.
What I Intend To Start:
Havenhall Harbor by Albany Walker: This is one of the books I got during the Irish Christmas Exchange that my friends and I started this year. My friend is really exited for me to read this book. It’s making me very excited to read it!
