I don’t know if anybody else has made this a thing. I also don’t know if anybody else will do this with me. If not, it’s completely fine. It’s something I want to do every week. I’m going to think of at least one thing I’m thankful for for the week. I’ll try to do up to four a week, but at least one. I think this will be very therapeutic. We shall see in time.

Note: There may be some things that get repeated now and then. My intention is to talk about things I’m thankful for that week. So some things may pop up a few times. I’m not attempting to be redundant or repetitive. Just trying to be genuine.

  1. This one is so important to me. Having an amazing team lead. One that values her team and praises them and lifts them up. I really lucked out with the team lead I was assigned to and I look forward to working with her for a long time.
  2. Making friends. I met this girl in my team at work that I have so much in common with. I won’t get into the full details. I’ve added her to Instagram. I’m looking forward to getting to know her better as time goes on. She seems pretty amazing.
  3. I’m thankful for the ability to pay off my debts. It’s been a hard year for all of us. I had it better than a lot of people in this world. My thoughts will always be with those struggling. I’m just thankful that I’m finally able to see the light at the end of the table for myself.
  4. I have somebody in my life that cares about my unconditionally. I am not a perfect person. I mess up a lot and sometimes I let my temper get the best of me. They have stuck with me through it all. I am so blessed to have them in my life and can’t wait to see how the rest of our lives together goes and where it will take us.

  1. A successful start. I have blundered a lot with calls during my first couple of weeks in production at work. However, I’m doing a lot better than I should be considering I’m still new to the job. I’m still learning programs. I’ve gotten a lot of great feedback from peers, management, and customers! It makes me feel so good. I know I’m in the right place.
  2. My reading slump is gone! I’ve been reading way more this week than I have in about a month. It’s felt so good to be back. Reading is a great passion of mine. It has been for a long time and it will be for the rest of my life.
  3. Finally coming up with a plan that works. One of the biggest things that I love is to have a routine and task lists. They help keep me together. I forget a lot less when I have lists and a schedule.
  4. My work schedule. I know this sounds so silly, but I am so happy with my new work schedule. the fact that it’s a set schedule is even better! It helps me plan things! I’m just so happy and so thankful!

  1. I’m thankful for being done with training. Not that I didn’t enjoy training. I really did. I’m just glad that I completed it with no problems at all. I’m looking forward to hitting the production floor running next week. I’m also looking forward to this lovely three day weekend that I have coming my way.
  2. I’m thankful for time management. This one is going to sound silly, but I mean it. I’m thankful that I am able to make and set a schedule and routine. It helps keep me motivated and moving forward. I haven’t really been doing well with keeping up with a schedule lately. So I decided to change it and make it something that would work for me. It made me realize how blessed I am for having that power.
  3. I’m thankful for my dog. I have been feeling really alone and low lately. I know that doesn’t make sense when I have people I talk to every day. But here we are. He’s been a cuddly comfort all week long. I’m so thankful for him.
  4. I’m thankful for the family and friends that didn’t turn their back on me when I was in my worst. I am finally at a point in my life where I am confident that I can take care of myself. I would have never gotten there if I was alone. I had family that basically told me they wanted to watch me fail. That’s okay. That doesn’t matter. I am where I am because the ones that mattered believed in me. And I’m getting to be in a position where I can take care of them like they took care of me! It’s AMAZING!

  1. I’m thankful I passed my final and am able to continue with training. I’m very bad with tests. I’m sure it’s mostly anxiety and if I could just get out of my own head that I would probably do amazing with tests. Either way, I’m happy when I pass tests.
  2. I’m thankful to be moving to calls. I know tis sounds insane, but it’s true. There’s that whole mental anxiety thing that goes away when you’re finally doing something rather than just talking about it constantly. I also like helping people.
  3. I’m thankful to finally see the light at the end of my tunnel. Things have looked pretty dark here for a little bit. I knew it would be okay. I just didn’t know how long until it would be okay. I’m finally here and I’m so thankful for it.
  4. I’m thankful for trust and communication. These go hand in hand. In order to fully understand how much trust you have in somebody, you have to be able to communicate fully with them. It would seem simple to think you could just trust somebody not to cheat or do things against you. The truth of the matter is you also need to trust them with discussing important things with them. You need to trust that you’re able to fully communicate with them about how you feel on things. It’s so much. I’m just thankful I have people in my life I have that with.

  1. I’m thankful to officially be making steady pay again. I may not be back where I need to be. I just know that I will be. I’m so thankful that I am getting there now. I’m thankful that I am going to be working a job that I will love for the most part to get that financial stability.
  2. I’m thankful for getting to spend time with my loved ones. Especially one that I don’t get to see that often anymore. When you go from seeing someone every day to seeing them once a week if you’re lucky, it takes a major toll on me. I’m sure it does them as well. I’m just thankful that I get to see them when I can.
  3. I’m thankful for open book tests. I had a midterm this week for training. I was able to look up all the answers in the test and I made a passing grade. My score wasn’t as high as I would like it to be, but I’m a perfectionist. I accept that.
  4. I’m thankful for technology. This one seems silly. But it’s true. I’ve embraced technology I was a teenager and was looked down on for it. Now I have an outlet to be creative! And I can listen to my audiobooks on this beautiful speaker I found on Amazon! But that’s another story!

  1. I am thankful for the training that my new job provides. I just started the job last week. They are very straight forward and thorough. They also ease you into the calling process instead of throwing you to the wolves so to speak. I am so thankful that they are giving me a chance.
  2. I am thankful for routine. I’m thankful for the opportunity to make my own routine. I am thankful that I am able to tweak it as I need to. I’m thankful that even when things feel overwhelming for me that I will bounce back and everything will be okay again.
  3. I’m thankful for second chances. It’s nice to know that if I mess up that I will be able to fix it. I will be able to move forward and do the right thing from then on. This is both moral and not. On the same token, I’m thankful for being able to learn from my mistakes.
  4. I’m thankful for having followers. I’ve been doing tis blog thing for a very long time. I never really thought I would make it big. I just wanted to share in what I love the best and connect with people who I have things in common with. I have 258 followers of my blog. I’m beyond thankful! I have almost 500 followers on TikTok. That really shocks me. I just can’t believe it. It grows every day too. I’ve discovered BookTok. I fully recommend it if you are on there. Follow me and I’ll follow you back. Anywhere. My social media links are to the side.

  1. I’m thankful for the chance to meet family. I met a long lost uncle. While things didn’t really end well, I was thankful for the opportunity to meet somebody that I’m related to and get a better sense of my family. Even if it’s just a small glimpse.
  2. I’m thankful for Valentine’s Day. I normally don’t really care for Valentine’s Day. I’m not against it. It’s just really nothing special to me. However, this was my first Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend. So it was very special to me. Due to being long distance, we had to Zoom. I’m just thankful I got to see her. Long distance can be hard, but it has moments of pure wonder.
  3. I’m thankful for Sarah’s anniversary. This may seem like a weird one. Let me explain. On February 13th, 2006, my beautiful sister passed away. She was fourteen years old. I still miss her very much. She was an important part of my life. Her death really destroyed me. I’m just thankful that I am able to remember her without getting a depression so bad that I can’t even get out of bed. I’m thankful that I can move on even if it’s hard. I’m thankful that I had the opportunity in my life to know such a beautiful person.
  4. I’m thankful for books! Book Outlet did a whole huge sale earlier this month. I finally got all of the books that I had ordered. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to grab books that I’ve wanted to read for a long time for a great price. I also had the opportunity to discover new to me books and authors. It’s always great to have more access to books.

In loving memory of Sarah Elizabeth Crider.

  1. I’m thankful for unexpected money. Things were starting to get a bit uncomfortable. Luckily, something came in that changed everything for us. I am so thankful and blessed. I feel like my prayers were answered just when I needed them.
  2. I am thankful for being able to take care of my loved ones. Once I was able to pay my bills, I was able to buy gifts for the birthdays that happen this month. I was worried about not being able to do so. It was a big stress on me. I was even able to get a special Valentine’s Day gift or my girlfriend.
  3. I’m thankful that I was able to pay bills. During hard times, it’s hard to be able to even pay for the small things. It’s even hard to feed yourself. It’s during those times that being able to pay for anything seems amazing and wonderful. It feels like a huge achievement. One I’m grateful for.
  4. I’m thankful that I was able to get my uncle a new phone. My uncle has had problems with his phone for a few months now. It recently killed over fully. I’ve been wanting to help him for a long time. I just haven’t had the ability to. Until recently. My dead line was finally paid off and I was able to upgrade the phone on it and have him added to my plan. It made me feel good. Especially seeing how happy it made him made me so happy.

  1. I’m thankful for being able to finally get back into my routine of things. I’m a tad late in my schedules most days, but I get it all done in time. That’s what matters.
  2. I’m thankful for cooking. I really love experimenting with cooking. One day, I’d love to have a big kitchen where I can experiment on many different dishes. It’s one of my passions.
  3. I’m thankful for book mail. This seems really shallow, but it’s true. I love getting wonderful books in the mail. I love the thrill of having a brand new book that I will eventually open and read. Books are so beautiful.
  4. I’m thankful for the friends I’ve made in the book community. They make me feel special and wanted. I feel like I finally fit in somewhere. It’s been a long time since I ever felt like I fit in. It makes me very happy!

  1. I’m thankful that my group (The Introverted Readathoner) seems to be growing. It’s a group of us who love readathons. We all take turns hosting low key readathons now and then when we need a bit of a push. All are welcome.
  2. I’m thankful to have the time to get caught up on things I let go over the past few months. Including reading. While I am sad that I lost my job and that I won’t be able to start my new job until February 17th, I’m happy for the down time this gives me.
  3. I’m thankful to have time to spend with my family. We’ve had a lot of funny moments around here. It’s been very therapeutic.
  4. I’m thankful for my Goodreads group that meets several times a week. I know that because of them, I will at least allow myself to actually read a book at least an hour a day. With all I try to cram in my day, I usually listen to audio. Sometimes I miss just sitting and reading. This helps so much.
