Weekly Weight Loss Journal: February 22nd

Last year, I was part of a blog thing. I haven’t seen any evidence that it is a thing this year. I still want to do something weekly to keep track of my weight loss progress. So I’m going to go ahead and make a Weekly Weight Loss Journal. I will have it go on my blog the same time and day that the previous one did. I’ll even put it in the same category as well. I hope you all enjoy. I’d love to see your progress if you’re on a weight loss journey too!

Goals:

  1. Burn 500 Calories A Day
  2. 15 Active Minutes A Day
  3. 5,000 Steps A Day
  4. 100 Ounces Of Water A Day

I will repost the goals in every blog and write a couple paragraphs about my struggles and triumphs for the week. I will also share my progress on the goals for each day like I had. I am doing a reset so to speak as I took the final month of the year off. I am looking forward to making great progress this year!

Weekly Insights:

I gained four pounds. I guess I should have seen that coming. I have been very stressed this week due to some job issues. I don’t really want to get into it. I’m looking into getting this thing to use. It looks really fun. It’s like a hula hoop but something I could use successfully.

Note: I’ve decided to do this differently than I was doing. I was doing it from Tuesday to Monday. Instead, I want to do it from Sunday to Saturday. As I haven’t gotten a full week of logs to report, I will start this officially next Tuesday. It will be for February 13th to February 19th. It will record my calories burned, my exercise minutes, my steps, and my water count. I will also record my current weight. Thank you all for your patience and understanding as I perfect this blog segment to keep myself motivated to move forward.

NOTE NOTE NOTE! I was struggling for awhile with a lot of things in life. Finances. Menalt Health. Body issues. I decided it would be better to do a reset and start all over. I’m still keeping the same goals, but it all starts this week. I will start posting my daily results next week.

Current Weight: 230.4

I’m actually quite happy that I lost weight during my time in a dark period. Only four pounds, but still!

It was an uneventful week for me. Well fitness-wise. I was too focused on getting adapted to my new schedule. It has been really helpful to have a somewhat lax week. When I say that, I mean without feeling guilty for having done nothing. I feel like I did accomplish things. Just not everything I intended. It’s a start. Something I’ll definitely start focusing on.

I fell off the wagon. Greatly. The fact that I only gained one pound really makes me feel better. I haven’t really been myself lately. I have felt overwhelmed. I am not saying that I have been surrounded by bad things. I have actually had some pretty amazing things happen to me. It’s just that when I get used to a routine and it gets thrown off, it really just stresses me out. I can’t explain it. I should probably talk to a professional about it one day to get a better grasp on it, but still. I haven’t really hit goals in awhile, but I’m going to work to hit goals at least 3 days a week from here on.

I had a really stressful week. I have been training for a job that I just knew wasn’t going to work out for me. From day one, it’s just been really stressful. I tried to let everything go, but I just couldn’t. I feel like many of the management and trainers there could use a lot of constructive criticism that I won’t say publicly and I also feel they could all use a dose of the empathy that they try to tell the trainees to practice. I will do better from here on. I also realize I will have good weeks and bad weeks.

I’m not sure if this is fully accurate. My scale was acting really weird tonight. First it said 211. I knew that was off. Besides, if it was accurate, I’d be concerned about losing 30 pounds in a week. Then it said 230 something. This was the last one. If this is accurate, I only lost .4 pounds. I’ll be grateful. Just a little disappointed.

This is honestly the most active week I’ve had in a long time. So you can imagine how puzzled I am to find I didn’t even lose a full pound. I am not going to let it get to me. Maybe there’s a legitimate reason. Regardless, I do have a small update from here forward. My watch suggested that I up my goal from 500 to 550 calories a day since it’s one of the goals I hit every day. I accepted. So from here on, my goal will be 550. It won’t be reflected this blog, but it will be next one. I’ve also decided that Sundays will be my lazy days. A chance to let my body rest and prepare.

I promise I really did weigh myself. I’m not sure how I managed not to lose weight. I’m not going to overthink it or worry. I’ll take it as a good sign. For now anyway.
