Cinema Sunday: February 20th

This is one that may not get posted often in all honesty. I don’t watch much television, but I just couldn’t find it in me to replace this with something else. Some weeks may be redundant because I like to watch shows from episode one to the finale. Some posts may be short if I’ve only watched one thing. I will do my best with it.

Found this show completely by chance. It was being featured on one of my streaming apps. I’m a huge Ludacris fan, so I just had to watch it. It’s unique. I also don’t love how much talent he has with cooking. He’s very eager to learn, and he picks things up real quick!

Finished another season pretty much. Halfway through season six! In this season there were some repeat challengers. I thought that was pretty cool! Also some new faces were featured as well!

I just recently read Will. It was a very enlightening book. I decided to give this show a chance. It’s definitely an interesting show! I’ve watched all four episodes that are released. It’s darker than the original Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I think that’s the point though. More can be highlighted in the reboot than could be shown in the 90s. I can’t wait to see next week’s episode!

Valley Stream Chef Competes on Beat Bobby Flay

This has been the exclusive show I’ve been watching. Already halfway through season five! I’m not sure exactly how many seasons they are. I’m excited to see many of the episodes in the seasons to come though!

Season REVIEW!!!!!!!

Watch Alex vs America - Season 1 | Prime Video

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I thought I’d be posting about Alex Vs America this week too. Sadly, it appears that there were only five episodes in the season. So this will be a review for the season. I really loved it. Alex is one of my favorite chefs! I love watching anything that has her in it. She’s actually a frequent on Beat Bobby Flay. I’m really sad that there were only five episodes in the season, but I hope this means the next season will be out before we know it. I NEED MORE!!!!!!!!

Valley Stream Chef Competes on Beat Bobby Flay

I haven’t really watched a lot of television this week in all honesty. I think I watched like 6-8 episodes all in one sitting. I really love these episodes!

Guy's Chance of a Lifetime (TV Series 2022– ) - IMDb

It appears I was right about this week’s episode being the last episode. It was very jam packed! I’m happy with who won.

This is five episodes in now and I’ve loved every single one. With the Discovery + membership, I’m able to see the shows earlier than it goes to cable. I take full advantage of that. It’s definitely worth it. I can’t wait to see next week’s episode!

I wound up watching two seasons of this somehow. It’s very intense and fun. I have to be honest, I liked the first season better than I did the second season. I actually liked some of the truck teams from the first season. I didn’t really care for any of the teams in the second season. It’s a very interesting concept.

Like Alex Vs. America, this show is only five episodes in. We also get early access to this show as well, and I also take full advantage of that as well. I get the feeling that episode six is going to be the final episode of the show. There could be other seasons to this, but I don’t think there will be. I’m kind of wanting Kevin to win, but we shall see. There are two that I just don’t think deserve it at all. Maybe three in all honesty.

I’m a huge fan of Bobby Flay. I’ve seen a few of these episodes in the past. I’ve always wanted to watch more. I think I’m about ten episodes in. I’m not fully sure. Each episode is about twenty minutes long. I’m excited to watch more!

I haven’t really been posting this lately. Mainly because all I’ve really watched lately is Chopped. I will get better at posting it. Well, obviously I won’t post on weeks I didn’t watch anything, but I digress.

Watch Alex vs America - Season 1 | Prime Video

This is a really brand new show. As far as I know, there’s only one episode on streaming to date. I saw it and I had to watch it immediately. Alex is one of my favorite chefs of all time! She’s also an amazing judge as well! I found recently that she makes a pretty good host as well. This show reminds me of a mix of Iron Chef, Chopped, and Cutthroat Kitchen.

Chopped Is Heading to Houston for a Casting Call | Houstonia Magazine

The last time I made a blog, I was on season six. I am now on season sixteen. I just started the season yesterday. They are pretty short seasons in all fairness. I’m really enjoying the show very much. Obviously. I’ve been wanting to watch this show from the beginning for a very long time. I’m glad I’m finally able to.

How to Watch the 2021 Times Square New Year's Eve Ball Drop

This is how I spent my New Year’s Eve. That and being sad over the news of Betty White. I mean I knew she wasn’t going to live forever. I was rooting for her hitting her hundredth birthday though. I mean she was so close! From what I understand, she was just eighteen days shy! I wasn’t really as into the show as I would have been on New Year’s Eve. I also was far from impressed with Avril’s performance. I’m still a huge fan. I still have a HUGE crush, but I wanted more!!!

Chopped - Where to Watch and Stream - TV Guide

I’ve been watching this little by little for the past few weeks. I really should have been updating this every week. I just didn’t want to get too redundant. Been watching this show since the first episode and I’m already halfway through season six. Will be done with the season by the end of the day. There’s a tournament going on that runs most of the season.

Bull - Rotten Tomatoes

I really do love this show, but there has been a period of time I considered stopping watching it. If you have watched this season, I’m sure you get it. It’s been intense. I try to keep to watching it every other week or every couple of weeks so that I can watch them back to back and not have to wait. I don’t always have the patience for this though.

NCIS: Hawai'i (TV Series 2021– ) - IMDb

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this show. The first two episodes were a little eh for me. They were good episodes. They just didn’t really draw in my attention like I felt like they could have. Especially being the very first two episodes of the show. I’ve now watched all nine episodes. I’m really enjoying it. All of the characters work really well together. Lucy is my favorite. I may also have a bit of a crush on her.

CSI: Vegas (TV Series 2021– ) - IMDb

I’ve now watched all ten episodes of this show. I’m really baffled that that’s going to be it for this season. If I’m being honest, I am also really not confident that there will be a season two. Not because the show was bad. I actually loved it very much. It’s just that I keep getting into shows and they decide not to continue them. It started with The Whispers. That was an intense show and I loved it. It got canceled. Then we have The Passage and CSI: Cyber. I also don’t feel like we will have the returning members if there is a season two. I hope we do, but they made several references that they were only there temporarily.

Man v. Food (season 1) - Wikipedia

I have now watched all three seasons involving Adam. I attempted to watch the episodes with the new host. I just couldn’t get into it. I realized very quickly that it wasn’t the show itself that made me a fan. It was Adam. He’s just so charismatic and it’s easy to follow him. He makes the show very entertaining!

Amazon.com: Man V. Food Nation : Adam Richman, Sharp Entertainment, LLC: Movies & TV

I started watching this show just out of curiosity. Next thing I know, I’ve blown through ten episodes! It’s similar to his original show, but he has other people do the challenges instead of doing them himself. It takes place about 7-8 years after the other show quit airing.

Criminal Minds (TV Series 2005–2020) - IMDb

I am now three seasons into this show. I think I’m about halfway through the third season. There are a few episodes I’ve watched that I can’t remember watching before. Which is completely weird to me. I really thought I’d watched all of the first five seasons. Clearly, I was wrong. I’m really enjoying watching all the episodes in order though. I’m sad that it’s off the air now.

Cinema Sunday: A Month of Streaming

Note: I haven’t really felt confident enough with this blog. That’s why I haven’t posted anything for it in the past month. I didn’t think it would be genuine because I don’t keep up with what I’m watching. this is loosely what I’ve watched since my last post and my thoughts on them.

CSI: Vegas (TV Series 2021– ) - IMDb

I’m not even going to lie. I was very nervous to watch this show. I was worried that it would not be the same as the original show. It really wasn’t the same, but that’s not a bad thing. I really enjoy the show. There were four episodes out before I decided to watch it though.

Man v. Food (season 1) - Wikipedia

I was deeply disturbed by something I watched (will show up later in blog) that I randomly looked this show up. I was so happy to find that I could stream it! I immediately decide to watch it right away! I was a huge fan of this show many years ago.

Watch Cutthroat Kitchen Season 2 | Prime Video

I have finally finished watching this show. I am not going to lie. I wasn’t really thrilled with the last season. It was very underwhelming and kind of frustrating.

Chopped Is Heading to Houston for a Casting Call | Houstonia Magazine

We decided to watch this show since we were completely done with watching Cuthroat Kitchen. The difference between the show is unnerving. Also, watching the first season for the first time ever is pretty interesting. It definitely has evolved a lot.

Home Sweet Murder by James Patterson | Grand Central Publishing

I had some credits for free books on Thriftbooks. I decided to try to get some true crime books. I was hoping it would help me with my True Crimes and Conspiracy Theories blog. I found this book series. I was shocked enough as it was. Then I found out there was a series on Investigation Discovery. There are six episodes. I watched them all over three days. I found them deeply disturbing enough to need to find a fluffy show before going to sleep each night.

Criminal Minds (TV Series 2005–2020) - IMDb

I have now watched the entire first season and I’m a good bit of the way into the second season. I’ve been watching it on my own. I really enjoy the show very much. It’s one of my favorites!

NCIS: Hawai'i (TV Series 2021– ) - IMDb

So there have been two episodes of this out now. I have watched and really enjoyed both of them. I especially love the LGBTQ+ rep in it. I can’t say I love it as much as I love the original or the New Orleans episode. I do like it more than I like the LA version though. I should give LA a better chance though. Eventually I need to get around to watching them all and in order.

Watch Cutthroat Kitchen Season 2 | Prime Video

I am now on season thirteen of this show. I’ve been watching it pretty constantly. Almost every day. The reason I didn’t post last week was because this was all I watched and I wasn’t sure that anybody would want to hear that I’m still working on it. Only two more seasons and I’ll have to start figuring out another show to watch. I’m thinking I’m going to move on to Chopped. I’m not really sure yet.

Cinema Sunday: How to Get Away With Murder and Cutthroat Kitchen

How to Get Away with Murder (season 5) - Wikipedia

So my mom has been watching this show. I can see why. It’s an addicting show. I haven’t watched every episode of the show. I did spend two different nights staying up all night to watch multiple episodes of two different seasons. I also plan to go back and watch this show from the beginning one day. I missed a lot from not watching them all.

Cutthroat Kitchen - Wikipedia

I’m addicted to this show. I can’t help it. There’s just something about Alton Brown and the challenges! I’m on season nine now! NINE!!!! I watched four seasons in a week. I’m sure that’s nothing to some people, but it’s a lot to me. I’m still sad this show only aired for four years. If I keep going at this rate, I’ll have the rest of the series watched in two weeks. Especially since I’m over halfway through season nine.
