I don’t know if anybody else has made this a thing. I also don’t know if anybody else will do this with me. If not, it’s completely fine. It’s something I want to do every week. I’m going to think of at least one thing I’m thankful for for the week. I’ll try to do up to four a week, but at least one. I think this will be very therapeutic. We shall see in time.

Note: There may be some things that get repeated now and then. My intention is to talk about things I’m thankful for that week. So some things may pop up a few times. I’m not attempting to be redundant or repetitive. Just trying to be genuine.

  1. I’m thankful for having support. I made a very hard decision recently that I’d rather not talk about. I was facing an inevitable problem that I could face it head on or be immature about it and go against rules. I chose to take the high road. It’s going to be hard going forward, but I know that I have plenty of support and people on my side. That’s amazing.
  2. I’m thankful for my health. My health isn’t perfect and I do have some moments where I’m not well. It could be a lot worse than it is. I’m thankful that for the most part I’m healthy and that I’m able to make choices on my own without being questioned.
  3. I’m thankful for Pride month. Growing up, I never really understood the full impact of Pride Month. I knew about it. I knew it was a good thing. I was also scared of it. I was scared for the people who took part in it as well. Growing older, I was jealous of their bravery. I know that sounds silly. I’m ashamed to admit it now. I now understand more and I’m so happy that Pride Month exists. I want to honor and embrace it wholly now. I’m so thankful to be a part of it.
  4. This one is going to sound a little silly, but hear me out. I’m thankful for imperfections. I’m thankful that there are things I do in my life that aren’t going to be perfect. I am thankful for the learning experiences from them. I’m especially thankful for the ones that have second chances. I feel like my life would be different if I didn’t acknowledge the things that weren’t perfect.

  1. Getting to sleep in a bit. This will be over in a few more days. I also didn’t really get to sleep in too much later than I normally would. The thing is, I am a night owl. I could easily stay up all night with no regrets. I love my days off at work. I wish the shift itself was a little later though.
  2. I’m thankful that a dangerous situation is behind us. I can’t go into the details but something really bad happened with the family. My mother and I were losing sleep because small sounds were making us nervous.
  3. That I had the means to get somebody important to me an amazing birthday gift. I feel like it makes up for years of not being able to make their birthday special. I can’t wait to see what their reaction to the presents are. Happy birthday, Dustyn! I love you!
  4. Making all my fitness goals so far. Well all but the active one. I’ve burned all the calories I have allotted to burn. Well, I’m not really doing step goal either, but I’ll work on that. I’m just happy that even with my schedule I’m making stand goal and calorie goal! Progress is progress, right?

  1. I have finally caught up and got back into a routine. Being sick really threw me off my game. Luckily I finally managed to get the time to get caught up on everything. I am so blessed.
  2. I finally have a bed that works for me for the most part. I’ve been able to sleep through the night without waking up every other hour or so. I still wake up a few times during the night. It’s not the same though.
  3. I have finally started being able to plan for a future event. It’s in August. I took a couple hours and bought everything I will need for it and sent them to Texas. That’s where I’ll be before the start of the event.
  4. The feeling I get when I know I’m able to take care of my loved ones never gets old. It really does warm my heart and make me feel like I’m doing something good with my life. Some of my loved ones have pushed back a little bit. I’ve tried to respect their boundaries. I just can’t help it. I really do enjoy taking care of those I care about.

  1. I’m thankful for the fact that I have a job that understands health issues can happen. They have been more than understanding of a recent issue I’ve dealt with. I missed a good bit of work recently due to an emergency minor surgery and some other health issues. I don’t plan to miss any more work. I already feel bad for the amount I’ve missed and wish I could undo it.
  2. I’m thankful that I have been accepted into a new program for work. I start training next week and will be in training for two weeks. After that, I’ll be with the new department and working the same schedule that I have been working. I’m so thankful for that. I love my days off. Kind of wish I worked a little later, but it’s okay.
  3. This one is going to be a bit shallow, but I’m okay with this. I’ll embrace my flaws. I will state that I fully understand that all possessions are worldly and won’t follow me into the afterlife. I’m okay with that too. But I am so thankful that I recently got some things that I’ve been wanting to get for years. Including and probably especially two book series by James Patterson that I’ve followed for a very long time. I’m so happy to own all of them!
  4. I’m finally getting better organized. My life has been absolute chaos for awhile. It will be so amazing to have everything organized. Of course, my idea of organization is a little different than most people. I live on an organized chaos and I love it! I get things found….

  1. I’m thankful for having the ability to prove myself. I’m just now starting my job so I have a lot of room to grow and learn. I’m so thankful that I’m in an environment that allows both. I have worked in places where they only wanted to focus on the negative. It helps in a way, but it also hurts. If you’re never showed where you’re strong at, you’ll only focus on what you’re bad at.
  2. I’m thankful for unexpected windfalls. I can’t really go into details because I don’t really feel like sharing everything about my life online is the best idea, but something really good happened for both my mother and myself and I’m so thankful for it. I’m looking forward to some amazing days ahead.
  3. Finally getting back into a routine. I’ve been coloring again. I’ve been reading often. It feels amazing to have a control over things. I know that sounds silly. It’s just how I am though. Sometimes I wonder if I’m on the autism spectrum somewhere. Maybe one day I’ll know.
  4. I’m grateful for my best friend. He’s been there for me always. No matter what. I’ve put him through so much and he’s still willing to go to battle for me. I don’t know what I would do if he ever decided not to be around anymore.

  1. This one is so important to me. Having an amazing team lead. One that values her team and praises them and lifts them up. I really lucked out with the team lead I was assigned to and I look forward to working with her for a long time.
  2. Making friends. I met this girl in my team at work that I have so much in common with. I won’t get into the full details. I’ve added her to Instagram. I’m looking forward to getting to know her better as time goes on. She seems pretty amazing.
  3. I’m thankful for the ability to pay off my debts. It’s been a hard year for all of us. I had it better than a lot of people in this world. My thoughts will always be with those struggling. I’m just thankful that I’m finally able to see the light at the end of the table for myself.
  4. I have somebody in my life that cares about my unconditionally. I am not a perfect person. I mess up a lot and sometimes I let my temper get the best of me. They have stuck with me through it all. I am so blessed to have them in my life and can’t wait to see how the rest of our lives together goes and where it will take us.

  1. A successful start. I have blundered a lot with calls during my first couple of weeks in production at work. However, I’m doing a lot better than I should be considering I’m still new to the job. I’m still learning programs. I’ve gotten a lot of great feedback from peers, management, and customers! It makes me feel so good. I know I’m in the right place.
  2. My reading slump is gone! I’ve been reading way more this week than I have in about a month. It’s felt so good to be back. Reading is a great passion of mine. It has been for a long time and it will be for the rest of my life.
  3. Finally coming up with a plan that works. One of the biggest things that I love is to have a routine and task lists. They help keep me together. I forget a lot less when I have lists and a schedule.
  4. My work schedule. I know this sounds so silly, but I am so happy with my new work schedule. the fact that it’s a set schedule is even better! It helps me plan things! I’m just so happy and so thankful!

  1. I’m thankful for being done with training. Not that I didn’t enjoy training. I really did. I’m just glad that I completed it with no problems at all. I’m looking forward to hitting the production floor running next week. I’m also looking forward to this lovely three day weekend that I have coming my way.
  2. I’m thankful for time management. This one is going to sound silly, but I mean it. I’m thankful that I am able to make and set a schedule and routine. It helps keep me motivated and moving forward. I haven’t really been doing well with keeping up with a schedule lately. So I decided to change it and make it something that would work for me. It made me realize how blessed I am for having that power.
  3. I’m thankful for my dog. I have been feeling really alone and low lately. I know that doesn’t make sense when I have people I talk to every day. But here we are. He’s been a cuddly comfort all week long. I’m so thankful for him.
  4. I’m thankful for the family and friends that didn’t turn their back on me when I was in my worst. I am finally at a point in my life where I am confident that I can take care of myself. I would have never gotten there if I was alone. I had family that basically told me they wanted to watch me fail. That’s okay. That doesn’t matter. I am where I am because the ones that mattered believed in me. And I’m getting to be in a position where I can take care of them like they took care of me! It’s AMAZING!

  1. I’m thankful I passed my final and am able to continue with training. I’m very bad with tests. I’m sure it’s mostly anxiety and if I could just get out of my own head that I would probably do amazing with tests. Either way, I’m happy when I pass tests.
  2. I’m thankful to be moving to calls. I know tis sounds insane, but it’s true. There’s that whole mental anxiety thing that goes away when you’re finally doing something rather than just talking about it constantly. I also like helping people.
  3. I’m thankful to finally see the light at the end of my tunnel. Things have looked pretty dark here for a little bit. I knew it would be okay. I just didn’t know how long until it would be okay. I’m finally here and I’m so thankful for it.
  4. I’m thankful for trust and communication. These go hand in hand. In order to fully understand how much trust you have in somebody, you have to be able to communicate fully with them. It would seem simple to think you could just trust somebody not to cheat or do things against you. The truth of the matter is you also need to trust them with discussing important things with them. You need to trust that you’re able to fully communicate with them about how you feel on things. It’s so much. I’m just thankful I have people in my life I have that with.

  1. I’m thankful to officially be making steady pay again. I may not be back where I need to be. I just know that I will be. I’m so thankful that I am getting there now. I’m thankful that I am going to be working a job that I will love for the most part to get that financial stability.
  2. I’m thankful for getting to spend time with my loved ones. Especially one that I don’t get to see that often anymore. When you go from seeing someone every day to seeing them once a week if you’re lucky, it takes a major toll on me. I’m sure it does them as well. I’m just thankful that I get to see them when I can.
  3. I’m thankful for open book tests. I had a midterm this week for training. I was able to look up all the answers in the test and I made a passing grade. My score wasn’t as high as I would like it to be, but I’m a perfectionist. I accept that.
  4. I’m thankful for technology. This one seems silly. But it’s true. I’ve embraced technology I was a teenager and was looked down on for it. Now I have an outlet to be creative! And I can listen to my audiobooks on this beautiful speaker I found on Amazon! But that’s another story!
