Sundays in Bed With… Fifty Words For Rain

Hosted by: Midnight Book Girl

Fifty Words for Rain: A Novel by [Asha Lemmie]

I’m reading this for the book club meeting at our library. I have a feeling that this may be the last meeting I will be able to attend for awhile. I’ll be on second shift at work after training is over. I’m not sure yet. We shall see. I’m not very far into this book right now. I do have it in both ebook and audiobook so that I can switch and read it no matter what. It’s good from what I’ve read so far!

Sundays in Bed With… The Girl Who Drank The Moon and The Giver

Hosted by: Midnight Book Girl

The Girl Who Drank the Moon (Winner of the 2017 Newbery Medal) by [Kelly Barnhill]

I’m doing a special readathon this weekend. Well, it’s a monthly one. I just chose my own theme for nostalgia purposes. The theme is middle grade, children’s, and young adult. This is the adult book I’m starting out with.

The Giver (Giver Quartet, Book 1) by [Lois Lowry]

This is the soul reason I chose this theme. I wasn’t aware that this was a series when I read (and loved) it as a child. Now I want to go back and read them all. I guess that includes re-reading the first one. Oh “darn”.

Sundays in Bed With… One Last Stop and Heartstopper Volume 3

Hosted by: Midnight Book Girl

One Last Stop by [Casey McQuiston]

I finally get the opportunity to start this beautiful book! I am so excited to read it. I read and loved Red, White and Royal Blue not too long ago and loved it. I am so confident that I will love this book just as much! The author has a very quirky way of writing.

I also plan to read this today. I know that the moment I pick it up, I will read the whole thing. I can’t say how long it will take. The first two took me less than an hour to get through. They are just so good. I have reviews for both of them up.

Sundays in Bed With… Survive the Night

Hosted by: Midnight Book Girl

Survive the Night: A Novel by [Riley Sager]

I originally started this as a challenge for The Hocus Pocus Readathon. I’m part of Team Sanderson Sisters. One of the perks is that we can trade one of our challenges with one from Team Trick or Treaters. Originally, I chose to switch read a middle grade novel with read a scary book wearing a costume. However, a couple hours into the costume and I was really hot and uncomfortable. So I chose to switch with read a romance instead. It all works out. I already finished a romance earlier this month. I loved this book though and devoured the first fifty pages rather quickly. So, I decided to continue reading it anyways. I still need to read eleven more BOTM books by the end of the year anyways.

Sundays in Bed With… A Lesson in Vengeance

Hosted by: Midnight Book Girl

A Lesson in Vengeance by [Victoria Lee]

I’m really hoping to have this book finished by the end of the weekend. I haven’t really had too much time to read during the week due to training and being constantly drained after. If I had more time, I probably would have demolished this book by now. It’s just so good!

Sundays in Bed With… The Witch’s Kind and Daughter of Sparta

Hosted by: Midnight Book Girl

The Witch's Kind: A Novel by [Louisa Morgan]

This is the audiobook I’m currently listening to. I just started it last night, but it’s really good so far. It takes place shortly after World War II. I’m very curious to see how things go from where I am at now. I love being able to read when wanting to play videogames with audiobooks!

Daughter of Sparta by [Claire Andrews]

I also started this book last night. This is a book that I got from Once Upon a Book Club. I’m very excited to open the gifts. I already opened the first. It is a cosplay robe of sorts from that kind of era. I’m very happy that this book was chosen during my TBR Jar marathon. It’s one I’ve been really looking forward to reading it.

Sundays in Bed With… The High Mountain Court. Again.

Hosted by: Midnight Book Girl

I know that this was featured on my blog for this segment a few weeks ago. Sadly I put the book down. I’ve been very scattered lately. Luckily, I found a way to get out of the funk. Its been really helpful. I am really enjoying this book. I think that’s why not being able to really focus on it has been bothering me so much. Hopefully, I’ll make a great dent into the book today.

Sundays in Bed With… Enola Holmes and the Black Barouche

Hosted by: Midnight Book Girl

Enola Holmes and the Black Barouche by [Nancy Springer]

I was so excited when I got an ARC of this in the mail. It’s captivated my attention from the very beginning. I wouldn’t be shocked to find I have this book finished by the end of the day. Hoping to read quite a bit of reading time in the next week. I haven’t really had a lot of time to read. Mainly because of distractions. Anybody else reading this?

I haven’t been able to read much lately. I’ve been in a funk. I started this last weekend. I’m looking forward to reading a lot of this today. The little I read of it so far is so good. I highly recommend it. If you’re reading it or have already read it already, let me know so we can chat about it!
