She’s very cunning and intelligent. She also has an innocent flair about her as well. It’s just amazing. It’s just amazing. You see all these conversations involving her and you kind of put her on the same level as the ones she’s talking with. Then she says something completely naïve and innocent, and you’re like, oh right, she’s twelve! She’s definitely a true heroine though. I can’t explain that too much without giving this wonderful book away. I need more people to read it!!!!

Saturday Star: Ellis from A Lesson in Vengeance

Ellis really has struck me from the first moment she’s introduced into the story. It seems like there are two versions of her. I wouldn’t be surprised to find that she’s a twin and they just switch places. She’s very intelligent and talented though. One of the things that endears me most to her. She’s also a lesbian. She seems to be struggling with the courage to come out though. Sometimes I feel like she’s a child that my significant other and I would have had. Well what she would have grown into that is.

My reasons for her being my Saturday Star of the week are simple and so vast. She’s this very down to earn Army Vet. She is just so real and relatable. It’s so easy to connect with her and want to just dive yourself into her world and see what she has going on. I wouldn’t be surprised if I found out that a part of the author is ingrained in Isis.

Saturday Star: Vivian from Vegas Immortals.

This woman wakes up at the morgue with no memory of who she is or how she died. The only thing she knows is that she is no longer human and that she needs blood or bad things will happen. To top it off, Death comes for her. Vampires aren’t supposed to exist and he plans to wipe all of them out. Again. Does that scare her? Nope. She challenges him every chance she can. She pushes her boundaries and speaks her mind. Anybody who reads my blogs regularly know that I’m a sucker for a strong and sassy female lead.

Saturday Star: Nina from The Winter series.

Let’s start off with the fact that she’s witty and self-sufficient. I really enjoy her personality. I’m not going to lie. She actually quickly made it to my book girlfriend list. I also love that she’s a manager at a book store! Just saying. I’d totally love to work at a book store! Maybe one day. Either way, I really love this character!

Saturday Star: Nyda from Sword of Truth series. Like Kara, she’s a Mord Sith. She’s almost just as sassy as Kara too. The thing is, I don’t think they are intending to be sassy. I think it’s just who they are. They were made to be horrible people. They are made to be free by Richard. I was afraid the story for them would end there, but they chose to stay with Richard and loyal to him. It was amazing. Sorry for the brief bit of spoiler there. It just helps me explain them better.

Saturday Star: Verna from the Sword of Truth series

How do I even begin to explain Verna? When you first meet her, she seems hard and cold. She’s very dedicated to her faith and doesn’t want to hear anybody who thinks differently than her. That is until she’s been constantly around Richard. I absolutely love the woman she becomes. I loved her relationship with Warren was so very beautiful.

Saturday Star: Addie from the Sword of Truth Series

Addie has been in and out of the books in the series from the very first book. She’s a very quirky character who I’ve liked from the very beginning. I also love the fact that she doesn’t put up with Zedd and his shenanigans. The dynamic between the two of them is amazing and adorable. Of course, if Zedd were real, he’d hate that I called it adorable! Addie might too. I don’t think she’d say “That be true” to me.
