Losing my job has taken a toll on me. During work, I would use my desk elliptical frequently during the day. I’ll have to find a way to use it even though I’m not working. I’ll also need to find a way to make sure I’m more active every day as well. I have some dance games on my Switch. I’m hoping to try to at do them every other day. I’d prefer every day, but baby steps. I know this is a minor set back. I’ll get back on track. I have faith!

I haven’t hit active minutes ever. I’m looking into more ways to be more active. I have bought a few games that should help with it. But we will see. I’d also like to start walking around more and getting more steps in. I’m still making great progress considering. I have a long way to go, but I’m getting there. I have 105.6 pounds to go!

Quick note and reintroduction:

I started this a couple months back. The problem was I got in my head and didn’t think I was good enough. I also lacked the proper tools to track everything the way I need to. I am now able to weigh myself with a smart scale. I also keep track with how much water I drink and the foods I’m eating every day. I even have a stationary elliptical for under my desk. I recently acquired a Switch and got some dance games on it too for exercise. I’m really excited to put that in motion.

My name is Nikkie. I’m taking a slow and steady path to losing weight. I don’t care how long it takes. I also plan to wear dresses until I achieve my desired weight and can buy a whole new wardrobe all at once. I currently weigh 232.8. When I started a few months ago, I weighed about 240. I’ve already lost some weight and that’s before I even officially started trying! I think that’s pretty amazing!

Ideally, I’d like to get up to 10,000 steps a day, but that’s a work in progress. I’ll get there eventually I’m sure. I’d eventually like to get a treadmill I can use every day. We’ll see how that goes.

My Weekly Plans:

I have really failed at starting this very badly. I don’t have a scale. I don’t really have transportation to get to a gym or membership for a gym right now. I’m working on workarounds though. I’ve decided that I will log all of my meals and my water intake. I also plan on logging my exercise. Each week will contain my log for each three. I’m not going to consider any week a pass or a fail. If I did any progress, I’ll accept it. Once I get a scale, I’ll also place my current weight.

My Introduction:

My name is Nikkie. I have been overweight for as long as I can remember. I have gone on diets quite a few times over the year. I just kind of stopped. I never really followed trends. Just watched what I ate more and tried to exercise. I have an issue with my lower back that gets painful after I’ve walked or done anything physical for a certain amount of time. It does put a big damper on working out. I’m working on finding a way to take care of that.

My Overall Goals:

I want to get down to 125. My current weight is 230. I know this will take a good year or two. I’m okay with that. I also want to try to completely make myself over once I’ve lost the weight.

Goals for the Coming Week:

Try to exercise at least 3 days of the week.
Stay strict about my food routine.
Try to get a scale and some workout equipment.
Maintain a food diary.
Lose 2 pounds.

Initial Thoughts:

I’m very nervous about posting these every week. I do think they will help hold me accountable to where I actually stick to my plan as much as humanly possible. I know that set backs are going to happen. I am not going to let that hold me back from achieving my goal by the end of 2022.
