It was an uneventful week for me. Well fitness-wise. I was too focused on getting adapted to my new schedule. It has been really helpful to have a somewhat lax week. When I say that, I mean without feeling guilty for having done nothing. I feel like I did accomplish things. Just not everything I intended. It’s a start. Something I’ll definitely start focusing on.

I fell off the wagon. Greatly. The fact that I only gained one pound really makes me feel better. I haven’t really been myself lately. I have felt overwhelmed. I am not saying that I have been surrounded by bad things. I have actually had some pretty amazing things happen to me. It’s just that when I get used to a routine and it gets thrown off, it really just stresses me out. I can’t explain it. I should probably talk to a professional about it one day to get a better grasp on it, but still. I haven’t really hit goals in awhile, but I’m going to work to hit goals at least 3 days a week from here on.

I had a really stressful week. I have been training for a job that I just knew wasn’t going to work out for me. From day one, it’s just been really stressful. I tried to let everything go, but I just couldn’t. I feel like many of the management and trainers there could use a lot of constructive criticism that I won’t say publicly and I also feel they could all use a dose of the empathy that they try to tell the trainees to practice. I will do better from here on. I also realize I will have good weeks and bad weeks.

I’m not sure if this is fully accurate. My scale was acting really weird tonight. First it said 211. I knew that was off. Besides, if it was accurate, I’d be concerned about losing 30 pounds in a week. Then it said 230 something. This was the last one. If this is accurate, I only lost .4 pounds. I’ll be grateful. Just a little disappointed.

This is honestly the most active week I’ve had in a long time. So you can imagine how puzzled I am to find I didn’t even lose a full pound. I am not going to let it get to me. Maybe there’s a legitimate reason. Regardless, I do have a small update from here forward. My watch suggested that I up my goal from 500 to 550 calories a day since it’s one of the goals I hit every day. I accepted. So from here on, my goal will be 550. It won’t be reflected this blog, but it will be next one. I’ve also decided that Sundays will be my lazy days. A chance to let my body rest and prepare.

I promise I really did weigh myself. I’m not sure how I managed not to lose weight. I’m not going to overthink it or worry. I’ll take it as a good sign. For now anyway. I gained this week. I’m not really shocked if I’m being honest with myself. I’ve went from stress eating to not eating much. Sometimes in the same day. One of my dogs went missing on Thursday. He’s been missing since. He’s almost four years old. We’ve had him since he was nine weeks old. My heart shattered when he didn’t come home. It’s worse not knowing if something happened to him or if he’s just on a doggy adventure. Not making excuses. I’m just explaining.

I’ve been reading a lot lately. The fact that I lost any weight at all is a pleasant surprise to me. Would I have liked to have lost more? Of course. However, I realize that I need to work more at it to get more lost. I plan to. I just have a lot going on at the moment. At least I’m making healthier choices. Honestly, I’m happy with my progress. Especially since I’ve done barely anything to deserve it. I’m trying to get better. I have just decided that rather than put myself in a spiral by changing everything at once that I would change something small. My plan is to adjust to the change and then add another thing. I’ll repeat the process until all my decisions are what’s best for me. I’m also playing trial and error with some things as well.

I’m so happy to have lost almost two pounds this week. I know this isn’t really a lot of weight lost. However, I’ve been in a major funk since I’ve returned home. This is the first time I’ve actually lost some weight. It’s a big deal to me. Especially since I still haven’t started a workout routine. I still need to find a way to make that work. I know I’ll make something work. I have complete faith.
