All About Audiobook: White Stag

White Stag: A Permafrost Novel by [Kara Barbieri]

I’m actually going back and forth between reading this in ebook and listening to it in audio. It’s a new thing I’m trying. So far it’s working out pretty well. It has drastically reduced the number of books I’m reading at once. But I digress. I’m really enjoying this book so far. I’m about three-quarters of the way through. Unless I have some issues or interruptions, I believe I could possibly finish this book by the end of the day. We shall see! The narrator does a pretty amazing job if I do say so myself!

All About Audiobook: House of Furies

House of Furies by [Madeleine Roux, Iris Compiet]

I picked this audio on a whim. I got it in a sale. I also love the author. She wrote an Asylum series that I loved very much. I’ve since lost my copies of those and will need to replace them. I digress. While I didn’t love this book nearly as much as I loved the Asylum series, I did really enjoy it. I might even go back and actually buy a physical copy and read it again. The cover is really gorgeous. The narrator does an amazing job as well.

All About Audiobooks: The Devouring Gray

I discovered this book thanks to the Hocus Pocus Readathon. I’m so glad I did as well. I’ve just finished the book yesterday and I enjoyed it very much. I listened to a good majority of the book in one sitting. I especially love the music that plays in certain places in the audiobook. Has anybody else read this book? If so, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

All About Audiobook: Four Past Midnight

Four Past Midnight by [Stephen King]

Dustyn, Mom, and I are playing Mario Kart a couple nights a week. I know what some of you are thinking. Is this game post? Am I missing something. Be patient. I’m getting there. We have decided to listen to an audiobook together. We chose this one. Dustyn and I started to read this together a couple of years ago. We never really got past the first story. Which is a shame. I have watched and loved The Secret Window many times. Anyway, we just started it last night. We are all Stephen King fans, so I thought it would be appropriate to start with one of his. It’s been amazing!

All About Audiobook: The Third Kingdom

The Third Kingdom: Sword of Truth - A Richard and Kahlan Novel by [Terry Goodkind]

This is the audiobook I’ve been listening to lately. It’s been really good. It’s not as great as the first part of the series was. Not as intense. I am still enjoying it very much. I haven’t really been listening to as much audiobooks as I have been lately. Anyways, I’m really enjoying this audio and the narrator.

All About Audiobooks: The Last Time I Lied

The Last Time I Lied: A Novel by [Riley Sager]

I just recently listened to this audiobook during my TBR Jar Readathon. It was a really great read. I loved listening to it while doing some things I needed to do and playing games and coloring. I’ve enjoyed many books by this author. He’s really talented. I can’t wait to read and listen to other books by this author.

All About Audiobook: Potential Audiobook Picks

Normally, I spotlight an audiobook that I’ve been listening to and enjoying. I haven’t really listened to audiobooks much lately. So, instead of trying to find a book to spotlight, I’ve decided to show you my potential TBR for this weekend’s TBR Jar Readathon.

This is a readathon I host on the last weekend of every month. This will be the second one. Basically, you pick a book to read from your jar. That book gets read until you finish it or decide you don’t wish to continue. Then you pick another. This continues until the end of the readathon. It’s really fun and it got me out of a reading funk I was in. I personally pick two books at the beginning. One physical/ebook and one audio. Then once I’m done with either, I pick either another audiobook or another physical/ebook.

I know that last weekend was the last weekend of the month, but I postponed the readathon due to my dog going missing.

I think I’ve rambled enough. Here’s the books going into this weekend’s TBR:

If you’d like to join the readathon, you’re more than welcome. The Facebook Group is called The Introverted Readathoner. I am trying to get a #TheIntrovertedReadathoner going. So if you do participate, please use it. You don’t have to join the group or use the hashtag, but I’d appreciate if you did!

All About Audiobook: Dancing With The Single Dad

Dancing with the Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle Book 2) by [Whitley Cox]

I knew I would like this audiobook. I really enjoyed the first book in this “series”. I put quotes around that because both books are really standalones. They are just in the same world with the same characters sometimes. I feel like I should just consider both books to be in the spotlight. They are both very wholesome and amazing. They are also both a little spicy. Not too much, but it’s there. Both are also on Kindle Unlimited.

All About Audiobook: The Omen Machine

This is the latest installment in the Sword of Truth series. When I finished Confessor, I was like oh thank goodness. It’s all over. They can live in peace now. They can rest and heal. I feel like there should have been a narrator somewhere saying: She did not know just how wrong her statement was. This is along the same series, but on its own so to speak. It’s a whole different conflict that takes place after the main series. I’m already sixty chapters in. For those of you who don’t know, I read two chapters a day with my mother. We have been buddy reading the series. The narrator of this book is pretty amazing.

All About Audiobook: The First Confessor

I’m really enjoying this audiobook very much. It’s the first book in this world that’s narrated by a female. I mean the rest of the series is mainly from a male perspective, but still. I also just realized that while the series is told in third person, this book is told in third person. To be fair, the series as a whole changes perspectives now and then. This book takes place a couple thousand years before the series does. Has anybody else read any of these books?
