Audiobook Obsession: Spells Trouble by P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast

I’m really enjoying this book. Very much. It doesn’t have the House of Night vibes, but I’m really glad for that. It has its own unique spin and its own unique characters. I think I’m about halve to three quarters of the way through the book. I’m looking forward to finishing it. I’m also looking forward to the rest of the series. The narrator is pretty awesome and adds to the story.

All About Audiobook: A Map of Days

We are already on book four of this buddy read. I’m not too far into it, but to me, it really feels like the author wanted to just do three books and wrap it up. I could be wrong of course. It just feels like the rest of the series may be written due to fan demand. Again, I don’t really know. It’s really too early to tell. We shall see. It’s nice to see something I was curious about.

All About Audiobook: Fairest Of All

I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this. I can’t say I fully went into this blindly. I understood that it was a retelling. However, I wasn’t sure of the angle it was going to go until I read it. I listened to the entire book in one day. It was so very good. I feel like it’s more of a companion than it is a retelling to be honest. It’s kind of like a before-the-story kind of story. From the Queen’s point of view. I definitely recommend it.

All About Audiobook: Will

Will by [Mark Manson]

I got this book for Book of the Month. I’m a HUGE Will Smith fan. Well, for who didn’t already know that. When I found out he narrated the audiobook, I had to get it there too. I’m very happy I did. The sound effects, his humor, and the musical parts at random make it so worth it! Yes, reading the lyrics on page are pretty awesome, but it’s a whole other thing to hear him sing them!

All About Audiobook: Buses Are A Comin’

Buses Are a Comin': Memoir of a Freedom Rider by [Richard Rooker, Charles Person]

I’m enjoying this book very much. I’ve learned a lot. There are many things I’m already familiar with being that I love learning about history. All history. Not just the glamorized history. It’s different hearing about it from a perspective that actually lived about it. The narrator is really engaging as well. I would actually like to get myself a physical copy of this book one day. Something I can annotate and pull quotes from. I’m thankful that I was able to get an audio of this book.

Warheart: Sword of Truth - The Conclusion - A Richard and Kahlan Novel by [Terry Goodkind]

I can’t believe I’ve made it to the end of this series. I’ll be done with it very soon. It’s just unreal. I feel like I was just mapping out the chapters to read each day with mom last week! I’m both relieved and depressed over the ending of this series. Part of me is very nervous about the ending of the series. We shall see. I have to swallow my pride and finish it eventually.

All About Audiobook: The Caraval Trilogy

I’m so excited to be buddy reading this with Julie from One Book More. I’ve been wanting to read this trilogy for a long time. I listened to the first one a few years ago, but I’m not sure if I ever finished it. I can’t remember anything about it. The reread will be worth it. Originally, I was going to read them all in e-book, but I had the first one in audiobook and could get the other two for a discount. I couldn’t resist taking that discount!

If anybody would like to join us, please let us know! I’m so excited about this!

I read this entire trilogy in about 24 hours. They were really good. I’m not exactly a fan of how the trilogy ended, but that’s just a personal preference I’m sure. I think there could be several move books in this series in all honesty. Either way, the narrator did a great job and I really enjoyed listening to it.

All About Audiobook: Thursday Next

I know that there are seven books in this series. I have only read three books so far. Well, I’ve only finished three. I’m working on the fourth now. My best friend recommended the books to me. I have had so many books I’ve needed to read that I put it off. She pushed me to read it though, so I did. I’m glad I did. They are very quirky and just make you want to keep listening. The narrator is pretty fantastic. I fully recommend this series!

All About Audiobook: Too Good To Be True

Too Good to Be True: A Novel by [Carola Lovering]

If I didn’t have other obligations, I would have read this entire book in one sitting. I wish I was making this up. It’s told from three points of view by three different narrators. I’ll have a review posted on Saturday. I wouldn’t say this book is for everybody. There are some very heavy topics that could possibly trigger some. For me, it was very engaging and thought-provoking.
