This event is hands down my favorite event of all time. I wish it happened quarterly to be honest. But as it is, I have something to look forward to twice a year. This blog will include my answers to the event surveys and my progress made during the event.
Opening Event Survey:
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
I’m from Georgia. It’s a southern state in the United states
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
High Mountain Court by A.K. Mulford
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
I actually didn’t plan snacks this time around.
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
I run a blog called Star’s Books & Tea. I’m a very avid reader. I do a readathon one weekend every month in a group called The Introverted Readathoner. When I’m not reading, I love coloring and playing games. One of my favorite games is Mario Kart.
5) What are your goals for this readathon?
To spend all my time reading and read as much as I possibly can.

The stars are representative of when I finished the books I did.
Half-Point Progress Report
- How many books have you been reading? Have you finished any? Are you on track with respect to your readathon goals so far?
I have finished two books so far. I’ve been alternating between reading and listening to audiobooks. I did miss the first hour. I also took an hour-and-a-half nap. - Have you eaten real food today? (Not just junk food, ACTUAL HEALTHY FOOD) What was your favorite food or beverage so far?
Yes. I’ve been eating like I normally eat. My favorite beverage would have to be orange juice. - Have you been participating in any of the activities on our social media (sprints, photo challenges, discussion questions, BINGO, etc.)
Sadly, no. I spent all my time absorbed in my books. - Are you growing sleepy? Do you plan to nap, or stop early, or are you extending the readathon hours to include sleep?
The late start and the nap have helped me greatly. - Have you been outside yet today? Have you had much exercise (besides the heavy lifting required to hold your book)?
I have not been outside. It has been rainy today. I have furbabies, so I am constantly moving around. - How is your readathon going, overall?
So great!!!

This is my progress at the midpoint of the event.
Closing Survey
- How many books did you read during this readathon? Did you have any favorites?
I read eight books and finished five. My favorite was High Mountain Court. It was a reread. - How many books did you finish?
Five - Did you accomplish your goals for this readathon?
I did! I exceeded a few! - How did your snacks and meals work out? Are there things you would change about the food and beverages side of your readathon for next time?
I ate more snacks than normal, but I ate my meals like I normally would. - Did you enjoy this readathon? What was the most successful part of your readathon? What would you change for next time?
I did enjoy this readathon. I always do. This particular one I didn’t engage as much as I normally did. But I read way more. So there’s that. - What Dewey’s social media sites did you visit during this readathon? What activities did you participate in? Do you plan to complete those activities over the remainder of the weekend?
Facebook group. Didn’t participate in activities. I didn’t know there was activities for the weekend.

How did the event go for you all? I’d love to see your posts!
