This book is so beautiful. It’s so filled with culture and intensity. I feel like its representative of things that happened and still happen today in some places. This is the author’s debut novel. For her to write something so powerful and engaging like this, I definitely want to see what the rest of her books look like. She has incredible talent. I felt like I was actually there through the entire book. The narrator of the book intensified the story in my opinion. I’m so glad that I was given the opportunity to read this beautiful book, and I hope many others have the chance to read it as well. It’s beautiful and strong. It’s intense and bold. I can’t wait to see what else this author produces!
