This retelling was a very imaginative take on Mulan. I may not have read or watched the original, but I know enough to know just how creative the book was. I also really want to watch the Mulan movies now. Especially the live action. I had been reading this series with a friend. We stopped reading them and I’ve fallen behind on the series. I would like to get back into them. I am actually wanting to reread the ones I’ve already read. Including this one. The covers are all so gorgeous! I definitely recommend this book for those who love to ask the question what if to stories they love.
