Review:
Story: This author became one of my favorite authors pretty quickly. I have read almost every single book written by him. They have all been so intense. This one was no different. We follow a girl who survived after a group of her friends were killed. Her life has almost gotten back to normal. Until a girl that she has been talking to, who was also a final girl, is suddenly dead. From there her nightmare comes back to life when the reporters come out of everywhere to get her statement. I’m sad it took me so long to read it! It’s been on my list for years.
Characters: I really loved reading about all of the characters in this book. I couldn’t relate to any of them, but I really connected to all of them. Especially Quincy. I really could appreciate her struggles. She just wanted to live a quiet life, but something major happened to her and she’s been in the spotlight off and on ever since.
Critiques: None
Narration: Wonderful! Can’t complain at all.
Final Thoughts: I could go on and on about how much I love this author. The books are just so intense and horrifying. I haven’t read all of his books. If I’m not mistaken, I believe this is his first book. He’s definitely on my instant buy list. I did notice when I was reading this book that the cover has been redone. I can’t say I care for the new cover. The old cover was pretty appealing in my opinion. It’s the reason I impulse-bought a book from an author I never heard of. My gut told me I’d love the book and the author. I was right.
