Review:
Story: I’ve always been a big fan of Aladdin. I think that started because of my absolute obsession with Robin Williams. I loved everything he was ever in. I thought he was the greatest and funniest person ever. I still do, but I digress. This book was very clever. I really enjoyed it. I had a problem getting into it in the beginning. I thought I was going to dislike it because of that. I stuck with it though. I’m glad I did. It really did turn out amazing. I fully recommend everybody get through the first part if they aren’t feeling it.
Characters: I feel like we got more of a feel of Aladdin and Jasmine’s personalities in this book. The Genie was more of a background character here. Also, his personality was different as well.
Critiques: None that I can think of.
Final Thoughts: This was a unique interpretation of a retelling of Aladdin. The insane part to me was that I feel like it helped me understand the original story better. I really enjoyed it. I’m so glad that I came across it and strongly recommend it.
