Thursday Quoteables: November 18th

Thank you Lisa for hosting this great meme!

Welcome to Thursday Quotable! This feature is the place to highlight a great quote, line, or passage discovered during your reading each week.  Whether it’s something funny, startling, gut-wrenching, or just really beautifully written, Thursday Quotable is where my favorite lines will be, and you’re invited to join in!

The High Mountain Court (The Five Crowns of Okrith Book 1) by [AK Mulford]

“The ring is a good prize, but if the choice was between her and immortality, I’d choose her every time.” Hale’s voice shook from his chest, making every hair on Remy’s arm stand on end. “Wow, she must be some—” Delta started and Abalina shot her a look. “. . . witch,” she finished. He’d choose her. Every time. Even if it was all a ruse, the thought made Remy’s whole body shudder.

This is deep and very well worded.

“After you find the High Prince and restore him to the throne, you will go to her with a big bouquet of fragrant flowers, and she will smile and hug you like no time has passed.” Remy smiled. Staring off into the distance, she imagined it was her going to see her own mother

I’m sure that this may be a simple thing to many people, but I’m also sure that it touched Hale very deeply. More than words could describe.

“How do I know my future will be worth the suffering?” She doubted it could be. If she lived, it would lead to war. “How does anyone? The things that bring us the most joy are the things hardest won. However hard you fight you will be equally thus rewarded,” Baba Morganna prophesied.

I’ll let this quote speak for itself.

The Witch's Kind: A Novel by [Louisa Morgan]

An old philosopher said you can never step in the same river twice.

This could be taken a multitude of ways. I’m sure. I like to think that it means you usually wouldn’t make the same mistake twice. What are your thoughts on this? What’s your take?

I’d love to see some of your favorite quotes!
