I don’t know if anybody else has made this a thing. I also don’t know if anybody else will do this with me. If not, it’s completely fine. It’s something I want to do every week. I’m going to think of at least one thing I’m thankful for for the week. I’ll try to do up to four a week, but at least one. I think this will be very therapeutic. We shall see in time.
Note: There may be some things that get repeated now and then. My intention is to talk about things I’m thankful for that week. So some things may pop up a few times. I’m not attempting to be redundant or repetitive. Just trying to be genuine.
- My new job. I’m not even a week into training and it’s already so much better than many of my previous job. They are very patient and understanding. They are helpful. They even encourage us and answer all of our questions. I’ve had to do more paperwork for this job than I have any other, but it’s been an amazing experience so far. I hope to have many sucessful years with this company.
- Being open about myself. I know this may not seem like it means much, but I’ve been shamed for things that I’m interested in or my quirks most of my life. I’ve been made to feel like I’m not enough or that I’m weird. I could go into details, but I’d rather focus on the positives right now. I’m finally starting to feel comfortable in my skin and it’s beautiful.
- Acceptance. This is a little broad, but I’ll explain. I couldn’t think of a better way to word it. I like to stay on a certain schedule. When the schedule goes off course, I usually feel really uncomfortable. Lately, I’ve been able to overcome that. I’ve even made alternative plans that work out for me very well. For example, I have a set amount of time to schedule blogs to post the next day. A few days this week I haven’t really felt up to even looking at a computer after training. So I let myself be and I arranged a time the next day to schedule the blogs in before they went live. I’ve had assistance with this transition, and I’m nowhere near “cured”. It’s okay though! Baby steps!
- Notes! I love taking notes. It helps me so much. Especially when I have days that I’m not really focusing very well. I write it all down. Once I have better focus, I go back and read through my notes. Most of the time I have to edit the notes and refine them. I’m not even going to lie. They are really helpful though. It jogs my memory and helps me recall it better.
What are some things you’re thankful for?

This is such a nice idea! (I’m pretty grateful for notes, too, I think they’re holding the world together some days.)
Wonderful post and thank you for sharing with us!

Thank you so much for reading it! I love making these posts! Sometimes, I feel a bit exposed, but I’m hoping maybe it will make a difference to somebody one day. Who knows?

My pleasure! I can see why you would feel that way. It’s hard putting yourself out there but you’ve already made a difference just by trying.. That’s where it all starts! You’re doing an amazing thing and I think people will see that and respond in kind. 💕
Have a beautiful weekend!
