Thank you Lisa for hosting this great meme!
Welcome to Thursday Quotable! This feature is the place to highlight a great quote, line, or passage discovered during your reading each week. Whether it’s something funny, startling, gut-wrenching, or just really beautifully written, Thursday Quotable is where my favorite lines will be, and you’re invited to join in!
We’re all going to catch something. If we’re lucky, it’s old age
I really like this. A lot.
I was doing my best to be practical. I knew well that death comes for all of us, eventually. As a farmer, I understand that better than most. My hens sometimes died. The fish I caught gave up their lives so we could eat. I didn’t shoot game, but I didn’t hesitate to cook it when somebody gave me venison or a wild duck.
This is an interesting way to look at it.
The gods of heralds and thieves is twice as likely to give with one hand while stealing with the other. An alliance with Hermes could either help or hinder, depending on how useful he deems you to be.
I’ll just leave this here.
Like two sides of the same coin, Artemis and Apollo are twins. One and the same, unable to live in a world without the other. Artemis is the moon, a cold, healing light, whereas the beauty of Apollo’s sun is unforgiving and unyielding.
I love this. I don’t know why. I just do.
I’d love to see some of your favorite quotes of the week!
