Note: The reviews will be pulled directly from my reviews on Goodreads.
There would be ten reviews posted this week. However, I will be going out of town on Friday and won’t return for a little under two weeks after that. So I’m going to split the ten reviews I have for this week over this Saturday and the next two Saturdays. The Saturday after I come back will have any reviews I have from here until then. I hope you enjoy.

I read and really enjoyed the first two books, so it’s not really shocking that I enjoyed this book. I love how there are scenes that were in this book that was in the first two but from a different point of view. It really helps shed light on some of the important parts of the series. I do have to warn that it somewhat ends on a cliffhanger. It’s not a major one. I just really dislike all cliffhangers.

I’ll start this by saying that my review of this book is my personal opinion. I will not tell others not to read it or to read it. I will let them draw their own conclusions. I will say that there are some trigger warnings of abuse and abduction. This just really wasn’t my thing. It’s well written and a very easy read. I won’t lie. I read it all in one sitting. It’s just not a book that I will be reading again. I won’t be looking for anything in this series. Since I like the writing style, I may consider other books by this author.

I didn’t want to like this story. I wanted to say that it was overly predictable and maybe a bit too dark for my taste. I can’t say any of that. If I did, I’d be lying. I found that I liked it. I didn’t like certain aspects or attitudes throughout the book, but the story itself was pretty solid. I kept wanting to find out what was going to happen next! I’m actually looking forward to reading the rest of the trilogy.

I was really enjoying this book and the characters in the book until a certain point in. I won’t say where it was due to spoiler alerts. I really didn’t care for a person’s attitude and what they said when a certain thing happened. I felt it was way uncalled for. It made me very angry. I almost quit reading the book right there and then. I decided to keep going instead. Mainly because I loved that the other person stuck up for herself. It was an amazing thing to see. I am curious enough to read the rest of the series.
