(Older review)

I just finished reading Hunted. It is the fifth in the House Of Night Series written by P.C. and Kristin Cast. It is about a girl and her friends working together to stop a fallen angel and a priestess who turned her back on their goddess from taking over their school. With almost the whole school controlled by him, they find it impossible to get away to do what they have to do to save the school they love.

Just like the rest of the four books in this series before this book, I loved this one. I can honestly say this is one of my favorite series of all times. P.C. and Kristin Cast have much talent at keeping readers on edge until the very end. They also keep you laughing throughout it all. It’s like feeling what the characters are feeling and go through what they are going through. It’s amazing.

This series isn’t for everybody. Some people will hate this series as much as I love it. There will be many people who do love it though. I recommend this series to those people specifically. They will enjoy the series as much as I did. I can guarantee that.

While I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed the first, I was very impressed with how the loose ends were closed. I also really adored the ending. Part of it wasn’t an ending I really wasn’t expecting at all. I mean I guess I should have been with the letters to the dead sister, but yeah I didn’t suspect at all. I fully recommend this duology!

This was a very emotionally intense book. It’s about a cold case involving a little girl that went missing. Her father was convicted for her murder. The body was never found. Everybody but Mike and Billy Jo wants to let the case go and not open up old wounds so to speak. I just wish it was longer!

This was a really interesting sequel. It seemed to almost follow along past the first one. Like you’re just continuing about the person’s life after the first story was over with. It’s really interesting to me. I also love the fact that this was more personal to Billie Jo. It kind of helps you get to know her a little better. It helps you connect better with her and understand her and her personality a little better. I also like that we get to know Mike a little better in this book as well.

This would have been given a full star rating had it been longer. That’s the only issue I have with the entire book. It was a really amazing read and I’m glad that I had the opportunity to read it. The longer thing is a personal preference in all honesty. I’m sure there are many readers that absolutely loved the length of the book. There are some heavier topics addressed that I felt could have been leaned on a little more as well. I still recommend it.

This book was intense and action-packed almost from the very start. It’s a very quick and easy read. I have to be honest. This is the first book I’ve read from this series. It seems like a stand-alone type of novel so it doesn’t really hurt anything, but I can’t help but wonder if I missed some important information about the series overall. Either way, I liked it and I will go back and read the rest of the series.

I loved reading this book. It was very straight and to the point. I felt like I was actually living his life with him through the whole book. I did notice that this was an adaptation. Reading this makes me want to go back and read the original version. It also put many aspects that I don’t even think about on a daily basis on a big spotlight for me. I’ve always known there were things ai was blind to. I’m always afraid to ask questions. So having it painted in a picture like this for me really does help. In so many ways.

This book was so easy to read. It helped me see many things in a new light. I also have many different reading materials and books that I can read thanks to this book. I’m so thankful that I came across this book and am looking forward to giving this book to somebody else so that they can be enlightened as much as I was.

I was leery to read this book after how the first book ended. I had read similar books that had some alternative outcomes that I was afraid would happen here as well. I was pleased to find out that I was wrong. There were things that made me a little uncomfortable. I also had issues with Ocean’s personality in certain areas and how redundant she could be at times. It didn’t take my enjoyment of the story as a whole away though. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

When I first started listening to this book, I automatically judged it for the worst. I knew I wouldn’t like one of the characters instantly because they were a bit of a jerk. I also predicted the story within like ten minutes. All that said, I really did enjoy the story. It was really adorable. I’m glad I gave the book a chance. I wonder what the other books that are coming out will be about.

This was a really intense book. I didn’t really think I’d like it. If I’m being honest, there were many points in it that I didn’t really care for. Especially certain personality traits of certain characters in the book. I mean some of them are tropes, so I can overlook them. It really was an amazing read though and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I have read it twice this year so far.

I won’t lie. At first, I couldn’t grasp the story. I had to start over three times. I think this was my fault really. I was kind of tired when I intended to start the book originally. Once I got into the book, I was so happy with it! It was hilarious and insanely crazy. In a good way of course. There were a few things in the book that wasn’t really my thing, but that’s just me personally. I also thought that Wynter could be a little too….. much about certain things. Maybe dramatic. I’m not sure how to explain it. Either way, I really enjoyed the read!

I have a very love hate relationship with this entire series. I don’t meant to speak ill of the dead, but I sometimes wonder if the author of this series was a sociopath. Just when you think that the characters are getting relief to all of the chaos, it gets even worse! It seems like when there is hope the hope is crushed fully. I both want to see the end of this series and want to quit reading. I can’t even begin to explain it. People will see my full five-star rating and get confused. I seriously love the series and all of the characters in it. It’s just so heavy!
