Top Ten Tuesday: Dystopian Novels On My TBR

It’s time for Top Ten Tuesday! Thanks Jana from That Artsy Reader Girl for creating this meme.

This Week’s Topic: Genre Freebie (pick a genre and build a list around it! i.e., best/worst romances, non-fiction for travelers, memoirs for foodies, classics that feel timeless, romance novel kisses, science fiction that feels too real for comfort, women’s fiction for newbies, etc.)

My Choice: Dystopian Novels On My TBR

I want to read this and watch the show that’s based on it!! I’ve had it on my list for awhile now.

This is on my huge list of Stephen King novels to read. My fiance owns it and loves it. I really just need to buckle down and read them all!

I actually won an ARC copy of the sequel to this before it was released. It’s been on my TBR since. I’m not proud of myself at all.

Got this book during a sale years ago. I was so excited to read it! Not sure why I haven’t already!

I watched a few episodes of the show that was based on this trilogy. I also started reading the book a year or so ago. I should really start both over and finish both. Things got in the way of me finishing either.

True Story. I actually started to read this book many times over the past year or two. Not sure what happened to make me put it down every time. I’m sure I had good reasons.

Don’t ask why I haven’t read it. I have no answer. It will be read!

Please see my reason for Ready Player One.

I tried to read this about 5 years ago or so. I wasn’t really all that into it. I set it aside to try to read it again later. Especially since my fiance loves it so much.

Saw the first two movies to this trilogy. Would have been better off actually reading the books first. I was so lost. I know I’ll love it at least!

  1. I’ve been afraid to read the Hunger Games. I cheated and watched the first two movies. I was so lost though. I asked a lot of questions and ticked off somebody that I was watching the movie with. I was still so overwhelmed and confused!

  2. The Hunger Games and Divergent are entertaining reads…but man, I think I read The Handmaid’s Tale at least once every two years or so. I couldn’t get in to American Gods, though I love Gaiman. Maybe I’ll give it another try. Thanks!
